Map Assingment: Part 2

In this map of Clear Lake, Iowa, the lake itself is clearly the central focus point. It is similar to an elevation map, but rather than showing the elevation of the land, its shows the depth of the water in the lake. In fact, the elevations of the surrounding lands are completely disregarded in this map. In the legend of the map, the only two features marked are the schools and paved boat ramps. I feel like this shows a lot about the town as a whole. The lake seems to be the big thing on everyone’s mind (and for good reason). One very fun activity on the lake is fishing, so if I were to add anything to the map, I would mark good fishing spots and maybe even what kinds of fish are most prevalent in each spot.
